I'm calling my Senators....Telling them to distance themselves as quickly from an imploding GW. He has finally stepped off the deep end. Any continued support for W is a vote for a Dim majority in the next election.

committed to interpreting the law instead of legislating from the bench The same claim was made for David "Gerbil Stuffer" Souter by Bush '41. I'm skeptical the second time around. No evidence. No support.

I'll donate to Mike Pence. I'll donate to Ken Blackwell. I'll donate to Tom Coburn.
Not the RNC.

Why should I? I have watched this president spend in a way the would appall even the most inebriated maritime spend thrift imaginable. You are right there are many things to admire about GW, but I have my doubts this nomination is one of them.

She doesn't have my support.
I would have been pleased if Bush had made qualification a higher priority than gender.

"Harriet Miers has a record that demonstrates a commitment to faithfully applying the Constitution."
Oh? How are we supposed to know that? Help me out here.

"committed to interpreting the law instead of legislating from the bench."
These were just about the exact words George Bush #1 said when selecting Souter for the Supreme Court.
C-Span showed old film clips last night, and I watched some of the Souter nomination.
Forgive me if I'm skeptical hearing the same words about Miers.

Gerbil Stuffer? Have you heard stories? Souter is definitely a "confirmed bachelor" and purportedly the model for the closet homosexual Supreme Court justice in The Pelican Brief by John Grisham.

Uhhhh...don't think so.
Mr. RNC you tell me why the President walked past all those great conservatives judges for this woman. No more blind support. You may have just lost the base. No support unless you clearly define who she is.
P.S. The base is pissed right now.

George Bush knocked the stuffing out of a big percentage of the Republican base this morning. Miers may be a conservative justice, but we won't know that by November, 2006.
November, 2006, will not be pretty for the Republicans if the base stays home. Why would George Bush alienate the base? I can't figure that out. Don't look for a lot of help from the troops, Ken.
To: Gunder
Dear Ken,
No.

Kacknor

I trusted him in the WOT, Iraq, tax cuts. He has brought integrity back to the office. Why should I not believe him now? 1) Never vetoed a spending bill (or any other bill).
2) Has completely abandoned our southern border.
3) Increased federal spending on education and expanded federal involvement in education curriculum.
4) Signed the appalling "Campaign Finance Reform" bill into law, thereby limiting freedom of speech.
5) Has not proposed one single budget cut.
