Oh please. Don't inject anything rational or reasonable into this- people are going ballistic here and elsewhere this morning without knowing anything about this woman. I wish it had been Brown..but I'm willing to wait and see what develops.
i intentionally tuned into the local PBS radio station to see what the EXTREME LEFT was saying.
it seems that their "panties are in a knot" over her nomination. that at LEAST is a GOOD thing.

"people are going ballistic here and elsewhere this morning without knowing anything about this woman"
exactly. why should everyone be happy about a person with no track record? that is exactly why "people are going ballistic".
a republic president with a republican congress should be able to nominate a solid, PROVEN conservative to the Supreme Court of all places.
I would LOVE for it to have been Janice Rogers Brown, but if it makes you feel any better, Miers helped select Brown as an advisor to the president (just heard on the radio). Miers is a good person. The more I hear about her, the more I like her.
Some really good conservatives are supporting her.
Other than giving the POTUS the benefit of the doubt, this is a clear signal that GWB does not want a fight when he has a majority in the Senate. This is a clear flub for Dub.
