I find it difficult to believe that Bush would nominate anyone for SCOTUS who doesn't share his views about strict constructionist interpretations of the Constitution and judicial restraint.

She's been by his side as his personal counsel for years. He knows her judicial views very well - I think she'll do just fine.

Since he said in his comments that she is a strict constructionalist and (and I quote) "WILL NOT LEGISLATE FROM THE BENCH," that's good enough for me. He knows what he's doing. I'm surprised so many Freepers haven't figured this out.

You chicken littles are the same ones I had to calm down on election day after the bogus "exit polling" said Bush would lose.
