WHAT IS EXODUS MINISTRY?
Exodus Ministry is a non-denominational Christian organization established to assist ex-offenders and their families become productive members of society by meeting both their spiritual and physical needs.
The Exodus program has the following 3 primary objectives:
1) to decrease the number of ex-offenders who become homeless and unemployed, eventually committing new crimes and returning to prison.
2) to assist ex-offenders in obtaining employment and managing their finances so they can re-establish a positive self-sufficient lifestyle.
3) to reunite ex-offenders with their families and teach them the life-skills necessary for daily living through counseling and training services.
Through the 7-month residential program, Exodus provides the participants with the following:

EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

A little more from Exodus Ministries:
The Journey...
From Bondage
Captives need release. Most people in prison today are captives of generations of poverty and lawlessness.
As a ministry to these individuals, EXODUS is a place where ex-offenders learn how faith in Christ is the first step from captivity to freedom.
Through the Wilderness
For many prisoners, the release from captivity can be a wilderness. Like the Israelites in the desert, the memory of shelter and sustenance "even in captivity" can seem better than the unknown, the unpleasant, and the difficult.
At EXODUS, we recognize that recently released and paroled ex-offenders need help. In addition to their need for intimate knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus Christ, these individuals and their families also need a sense of belonging and acceptance. Most need a place to live. Some need counseling, including treatment for drug and alcohol dependence. All need Christian fellowship.
In its six-month intensive, resident program, at it's 20-unit apartment center, EXODUS reaches ex- fellowship, counseling, arrangements for housing and food, and a supportive church home.
To Promised Land
Stability. Maturity. Strength of character. EXODUS seeks to instill these traits in its residents through Bible study and discipleship training. As families reunite, the program nurtures healthy family relationships.
To begin a journey of personal and financial freedom, residents receive assistance in finding jobs. They also participate in staff and volunteer led classes designated to help them learn to manage everything from their addictive behaviors, and low self-esteem, to their diets and budgets.
From captivity through the wilderness and on to personal and spiritual freedom, EXODUS' commitment is to help ex-offenders and their families find purpose, perspective and promise for the future.
