- I've been skimming through these posts and am truly amazed at the one issue people out there. How they have determined that she's a "pro abortionist" so quickly is quite astonishing.

Abortion is not a skimpy issue.

And . . . if she does support abortion, it does say something unpleasant about how she interprets the Constitution.  It says she can find and support virtual rights where real ones do not exist.

We'll eventually find out.

- Bush has worked with her and beside her for more than five years. In that time they must have had many conversations, both socially informal and work related, during which he has been able to see, time and again, her judicial temperament when it comes to the hot button issues. I think Bush's Christian beliefs are deeply held and he would not betray them just to avoid a Senate fight. I think he believes he knows what makes her tick and sees in her someone with core values like his own.
Don't go wobbly on old George until she has had a chance to write her first opinion.
