"So back to my original question. What does military court experience have to do with interpreting the Constitution?"
How can someone,
who has no experience in military law,
even begin to understand military tribunals,
and the legal implications.
Don't tell me that there aren't any
female Veterans who served in JAG
and who are also conservative.
Someone has to watch out for ur troops,
ESPECIALLY after the idiot judge who
last week ruled that showing
ALL the Iraq prisoner "abuse"
photos was ok.

I don't want someone to "watch out for our troops"
I want someone who isn't going to manage to find the right to kill children, separation of church and state, the second amendment is for hunting only and other equally stupid things that seem to pop up in the Constitution when liberals are looking at it.
I want someone who knows how to read, can read the Constitution, and figure out what it's saying. It's not a very hard job to do. In fact it's got to be the easiest political job out there(other than being a senator from Mass). Again, JAG experience is irrelevant. But if you like to hang onto this idea that being JAG or former JAG some how makes them an originalist then be my guest.
