Yeah, that would have been my choice. But maybe this is the way it has to be, based on the realities of the Senate. Rush is talking about this right now.

I think Brown could be confirmed, hell Thomas was in a Dem. Senate, and it would do the country good to see the left rip into a black, self-made woman. The black vote is already trending right, that would only speed up the process.

What this means is that one should never expect another President to nominate someone who openly advoates Scalia's judicial philosophy. Therefore, a Senate majority means nothing.
