I've never seen so much leaping to conclusions in my life. Cripes, she's been the nominee what, three hours now? People must be in mortal wrist pain from all the hand-wringing I've seen.

Let's see what comes out over the next few days...

Miers used the voice of the State Bar of Texas to advocate the entire (national) membership of the ABA have voice in obtaining a position. One should not infer her position on the underlying issue from that advocacy. Further, the ABA speaks as a unit, even if some geographic regions render contrary positions.
