Is it really desirable to appoint someone 40-50 to a position they will hold for life with virtually no accountability? If absolute power corrupts absolutely, sounds like a recipe for disaster!

If that someone is a justice in the mold of Scalia, Thomas or Rehnquist, you betcha.

Would I like to have 40-45 years with a good conservative on SCOTUS, yes! Remember, my premise is that the concrete is not completely hardened at 40, and that absolutely power can change (corrupt) people. What if he or she is a Souter?
