I voted for Dubya because I trust him to make decisions for me, not seek my 100% approval. There a over a dozen picks, and no matter which one he picked, many here would be outraged on the basis of one issue or another.

No, that is not true. You make it sound as if spotting a conservative (Scalia, Thomas) would be hard. It isn't. When the Rats are praising the President's choice, you shouldn't be.

A 60 year old spinster, no kids, no grandkids.

I want a woman whose brought life into this world and kept marital vows to be on that court. I don't want some old lady with dubious credentials-- I don't want a blank slate who hasn't been pro-life or pro-family in their own life.

Lest we forget, Souter is a fey UNMARRIED MAN with a MOMMY COMPLEX who lives in a log cabin in New Hampshire. We know Souter doesn't screw women, but he sure has screwed us.

I'm just not digging this nomination....
