The best argument I've heard about fetal stem cell research is that if it holds the promise for so many cures, how come those evil profiteer corporations aren't throwing money hand over fist at it? Why does the government have to finance these stem cell labs itself? KKKalifornia just passed some law to put billions of tax dollars to this effort. What a waste of money.
Correct- venture capitalists are not throwing money at ambryonic stem cell research. Though it was not discussed publicly, Prop 71 exposed California to tremendous legal liability.
