There is so much wrong here I don't know where to start. The selection of Chomsky is especially galling, since he is practically the patron saint of totalitarian media conformity. Have at it Freepers.

To paraphrase William F. Buckley, we'd be better off with a leader chosen at random from the telephone book.

well, let us thank God there will not be a world government, probably, in our lifetimes. BTW- the fact that the BBC did this type of thing shows where their politics is.

This is proof that normal people do not interact with BBC. BBC's audience is made up of Communists, Socialists, Anarchists and Democrats. Georgie Soros? ROTFLMAO!!!!! He's a pig.

It's unfortunate that environmental activist Theodore Kaczynski, social innovator Charles Manson, and sports hero O.J. Simpson were not included, they might have ranked in the top five.

Noam Chomsky Ha ha ha. Does he get a lot of play on the BBC? How else does it explain that this wing bat even appears on this list.

They ran a poll and everyone chose communists as the best world leaders? It's kind of shocking, but OTOH, it's not shocking, Hillary is probably going to be a nominee for US president, and actually could win.
The one country in the world to be founded on a premise of individual freedom may choose a totalitarian as leader.

It's obvious only Leftists "voted" in this "global election." They elected a former terrorist.
I'm sure they would have preferred Yasser Arafat...but, thank God, he's been at room temperature too long even for those death-lovers.

It's odd, at first the list seemed to be the typical "Name the Famous Politician" poll, but Chomsky and Greenspan seem out of place in that.

1 - Nelson Mandela 2 - Bill Clinton 3 - Dalai Lama 4 - Noam Chomsky (pictured) 5 - Alan Greenspan 6 - Bill Gates 7 - Steve Jobs 8 - Archbishop Desmond Tutu 9 - Richard Branson 10 - George Soros 11 - Kofi AnnanThis isn't a joke?
Mother of God...

Buy good guns, hide them in secure dry spots, and have lots of powder, lead, and extra casings stocked up. It could be a long haul.

Top two are a jailbird and a guy who deserves to be in jail, and OBL gets in ANYWHERE on the list?? F**k "the world"!!!
(Although I would not mind being "ruled" by Kylie Minogue;)

Good God, Imagine the world if all these people were actually in charge at the same time? (Shuddering uncontrollably.)

Certainly the poll encompassed, apparently, only Marxists and other assorted socialist swine. South Africa will be Zimbabwe South w/in 10 years' time; how did that absolute Marxist clown come in first in the poll, sheesh? Clinton? Oh, puh-lease. BTDT.
