I've had 2 patients with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever caused by a rickettsial organism. Caused severe headaches and very high fever. The grown man about 38 years old had residual hearing loss for 2 or 3 months. Both came in with a large necrotic lesion on their lower extremity. Interesting case. This is transmitted by tick. I read that tularemia can occacionally be transmitted by tick, but mostly by direct contact of handling a dead rabbit.

Doc - I was in the area the 6 days ago when they say this was detected. Was feeling fine till I read the post reporting it, lol. Seriously, is there anything I should do? Any precautionary tests or anything? Thanks
