Not really after they tried to knock it down once before.
It's not possible to argue the point since we already know what happened. We can say we thought anything at all when the first plane hit. AFAIK there is no way to prove we thought it. After the fact, we can all say we believed it was terrorists.
So, it's pointless to discuss.
