I think the point he was trying to make is that the guy wasn't a Muslim, but people were very eager to jump to that conclusion and use it as a basis for the deportation of all Muslims. Also, those without 'Arabic sounding names' are more likely to be full US citizens, so I'm not sure where they'd be deported to. I also don't know where you'd deport 'white' muslims to. With regards to the news. Well, it's what people want to hear, really isn't it?

I must have missed it - so far I've not heard to too many - if any, muslims being deported - even those that remain in the US on expired "student" visas.
In The Netherlands, France and Britain they have enacted and are using laws to strip muslims of their citizenship and are actively deporting them to their country of origin - which, as the Father of a Son that was at Ground Zero in NYC on 9/11 is a good and sane move.
