We are concerned that, in response to the so-called “war on terrorism,” Americans are giving up their civil liberties and rights of privacy, to a government being made all powerful; and that governmental powers, enlarged in the name of fighting terrorism, will be turned against citizens with no connection to terrorism.

I am concerned about this too. Aren't you?

The government sure did vote itself a lot of new power after 9/11. I don't think this Administration would abuse the law that way, but what happens if Hitlery is the next President? Then you and the other Republibots will be agreeing with everything that the AIP platform is saying here.

Snesible precaustions are NOT "taking away our civil liberties".

How come the very same people who are so concerned about the civil liberties of the terrorists, show no concern about laws, where the government is in everyone's house, telling you what to do, such as forcing you to buy water saving toilets and showers? Is that the government's business?
