Thanks much for the link and info. Hmmm...know of any similar incidents along the Jersey ports at all during WW2? Looks like senility is setting in early for me. :o/

The link also told me something I didn't know before: that the British blockaded the US in the 20th century - specifically in 1915.

No, the British blockaded Germany, thus cutting off American trade with Germany. The last thing the British wanted to do was to stop their own trade with America.
