What do you think about this "methane burp?"

Not familiar with the specifics. However, just a little bit of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) goes a long way. Formed from decomposing organic materials. Storm drains here in sacto have the odor too. Rainy season will flush it out. Methane is generated under similar conditions, however not certain if it has an odor.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I don't know what to make of it. I think that it all starts with the December quake because of the huge shift of the Indian Ocean plate or whatever the proper name is. All the other plates need to readjust because there is more pressure on them. The sulfer smells I have noticed are in the area of the fault. I don't know the name of it but runs through the north san fernando valley into Santa Clarita, and is connected to the Northridge fault.
On another note, last night or early this morning (sometime before I woke up) I dreamn't of a huge explosion. I mean huge. So huge that it had to be either a nuclear explosion or volcanic eruption. Buildings were melted and burned some were still smoking throughout the deram. I haven't been remembering my dreams but every few months and the ones I have remembered tend to be significant. This was one of those real vivid ones. I don't know if this dream was prophetic but it was like other prophetic dreams I've had in the past. Not in content but for the cinemaphotography and clarity. However, I could have had this dream because I had watched the news and saw footage of the aftermath of the pakistan quake. Hopefully this is the case.
