That's what I'm expecting.
IMHO, AQ's capabilities have been greatly diminished by our actions in Afghanistan and we're killing terrorists in droves in Iraq. That is keeping them busy so they don't have the time to really plan attacks on our home soil.
Given the history and situation in Pakistan and Iran, I'm not totally discounting the threat of a nuke popping somewhere on US soil, but again IMHO, the chances of a that are about 5%. BUT, that only covers THIS rama-dama-ding-dong.
IF radical muslims happen to stage a success coup in Pakistan, this entire situation will change drastically - for the worse.

IF radical muslims happen to stage a success coup in Pakistan.............. Or if Iran is further along on its nuke program than what has been assessed.

I too question any sort of imminent (next few months) attack with nuclear weapons on American soil. I do believe it is highly likely that one will occur if nothing is done to stop the bad guys from getting their hands on material/weapons. From all I have read on the subject, it appears that not enough is being done in that regard.
I slightly disagree about the smaller attacks. If al Qaida, not one of their offshoots, strikes us again... it will likely be spectacular in nature in my opinion. I suppose that could be done against soft targets, but I'm not so sure. A Madrid, perhaps... A Bali type operation? I don't think so.
We have done a lot post 9/11; many arrests, money flows stopped, people killed. The simple fact remains that UBL knew he was going to get routed in Afghanistan after the attacks... he had to have plans ready to go. We might have slowed/stopped some, but I doubt we have gotten them all. I still vividly remember hearing of the backlogs of material at the alphabets, until we can process information same day/same week... there is bound to be something lurking.
