Must be a fine line between not wanting to scare people and warning them of the threat which may result in their death.

Personally I would err on the side of saving people from harm. Folks going to large events need to be VERY careful and use our TM guidelines for what to look for. I do wonder how this guy was dressed and what he used for explosives. Will they ever tell us?

**Update on OK Suicide/Homocide University Bomber**

Law enforcement sources close to the Northeast Intelligence Network have confirmed that search and seizure warrants were served today upon the residence of the “suicide bomber, 21-year-old Joel Henry Hinrichs III of Colorado Springs, CO, who was a resident of the Park View Apartments on campus. Speaking strictly “off the record,” the officials stated that they recovered “a significant amount” of Islamic “Jihad” type literature, some possibly written in Arabic, along with the suspect’s computer. Some of the documentation included material on how to construct bomb-making vests.

You are so right about our need to be very careful and aware. I can't thank everyone on TM enough for all of the valuable tips and information that I have learned and continue to learn every day, right here in our online home.

With this new awareness, put yourselves in my place this morning. Picture yourself just getting up this morning after a fitful night's sleep and getting that first cup of coffee. Then, open your back door to let your cats out (dogs, rabbits, turtles, whatever you have) and seeing your backyard littered with about 30 MYLAR balloons. Some of which have already started to expand again due to the sun shining on them.

Now really, be honest. What would you do?

LOL! As my coffee cup fell out of my lifeless fingers and shattered on the concrete patio, my mouth was yelling "What the h3ll??" ROFL!!!!!!

The next sound I heard was my neighbor, on the other side of the privacy fence, saying "Ummm neighbor, sorry about the balloons. Had a family party last night and the kids got carried away with the balloons once they were deflating. Be right over to clean them up"

WHEW!!!!! Yeah, I was pretty freaked out at first. When the neighbor came over, which I told him wasn't necessary but he's one of those "good" neighbors thank the Lord, he totally understood my first reaction. He felt really badly about scaring me. I told him it was good practice and that I really have to get over that first, paralyzing shock that seems to hit me.

So, if you see a SD headline about an east county woman shattering the peaceful early morning hours with horrible curse words, relax, it's all good now : )

Officials in Northumberland County thought they had a chemical leak on their hands Monday morning. They locked down schools and told homeowners to stay inside their homes with the windows closed.

After hours of investigating, the problem just seemed to drift away.

County emergency officials got complaints of a strong chemical odor in several communities including Sunbury and Upper Augusta Township. Just before noon, fire trucks from the Sunbury area prepared for the worst, and rolled into place to try to find the source of a chemical odor in the area.

"When we first arrived we saw some haze in the area," said Upper Augusta Township Fire Chief Chris Herb. He said the odor smelled like chlorine, a dangerous chemical.

"We called local power plants, local nuke plants, water treatment plants, sewage plants, anything we could think of that would emit something like that," Herb added.

The call prompted emergency responders to shut down streets near the odor. The nearby Chief Shikellamy Elementary School was locked down as a precaution. Residents were told to stay indoors with the windows closed and air conditioners off.

Rebecca DePinto of Sunbury saw the warning on WNEP-TV. She's glad responders treated it seriously. "Better to be safe inside than not know what it is," she said.

"I think we were doing it to cover our bases, make sure if there was a release everyone was protected. We'd rather be safe than sorry anymore," CHief Herb agreed.

After more than two hours of investigating, responders couldn't pin point it's source. They gathered afterwards to talk about the emergency response, calling the effort a success.

After getting so many complaints about the smell. Crews were really stumped when then couldn't find the cause.

One fire chief suggested it could have been mother nature shifting some strange odors around the Sunbury area.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.
