Skeptics and the "PUT downers" seemed to suddenly explode on the thread like the flip of a switch. Suddenly people on the thread were kooks. The thread was stupid. The forum reputation was in tatters. And on and on.

I noticed that also.

I didn't notice because I always skip/don't read the skeptical posts. I just keep scanning for factual information and creative thinking.
