Rumsfeld needs to do something. Have a press conference, say he's looking into it. Have an investigation, and then report on it. Then its over. If not, HE needs to be canned. Leaving our troops twisting in the wind is not right. Skilcraft PENS? CREDIT CARD? MILEAGE? CELL PHONE? ha ha ha ha. CALL THE ATTORNEY GENERAL! NATIONAL SECURITY IS AT DANGER!!!! Exactly.
It makes you wonder about what the AP is doing when they feature someone with a credit card balances of 2,000 who also steal pens, sounds like the AP might be complicit in trying to nail Shaffer. This guy is the real thing IMHO. He is a patriot and a whistle blower.

I have seen lots of summaries of Able Danger, Lt. Col. Shaffer and the Atta assoc. but never one as poorly written and "biased out to get Shaffer" as this one by the AP. Makes you wonder.

The bottom line here is that Shaffer's group,through data mining, uncovered vital info on Mohammed Atta along with photos of Atta, and the plan to fly planes into the twin towers. He tried numerous times to alert the right agencies. Finally he was told, in no uncertain terms, by a Gen. who reminded him he outranked him, not to try anymore. That should tell you something right there. The fix has always been "in" here. And, before GW ever came into office, however the present adm. has been less than helpful imho.

One hope now is that survivors, friends and relatives of those killed in NYC during the 911 attacks will create so much havoc and so much bad pr that justice will be done, but I wouldn't bet on it either way.

The bottom line here is that we should never give up on patriots like Shaffer let's support him all the way.

The medal charge needs to be explained. Other than that, YAWN!
