Calling the Senate?....oh yeah that works...
Like calling all the Senators who promised that they would not vote for
A Specter to become head of the Judiciary committee?...

Republican leaders explained that party members voted to pass the Child Safety Bill even with the amendment attached, because they wanted the protection of children, and they figured that the Hate Crimes Amendment would be stripped off when the joint House-Senate conference Committee tackles the bill. Didn't we take a chance with CFR and blew up in our face??

Wow! I had no idea the Founding Fathers intended the commerce clause to punish negative views of homosexuals and transtesticles in addition to preventing the states from erecting trade barriers against each other. How could we have missed that? Glad congress intervened and cleared things up! /sarc

when you put perverts in power it shows-i am a conservative who thinks it is time to take names and have long memories-this leads to child molestation-animal sexual abuse-and GOD knows what else-when sodomities rule you have sodom an gomorrah-these people are no more than animals-but animals i have more respect for.

Didn't we take a chance with CFR and blew up in our face?? Once more into the breech, once more into the breech. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

Conyers, can't you and the rest of the of your DUmb@$$ colleagues read
"America's Rulebook for Congress"? (Remember? That document you swore to "protect and defend"...)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bill of Rights
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OK, Chief Justice Roberts; time to get to work!

>>> some fear the Senate will pass the hate crimes provision as is and send it to the President for his signature. <<<
As they should. They know that 'Get-along' George will not veto anything.

Conyers also wants special protection for the Koran, but not for the American flag.

"
Good luck getting that past the 1st Ammendment."The First Ammendment didn't stop McLame's campaign finance reform bill that says you can't campaign against an incumbent within 60 days of his re-election.
That is as unConstitutional as it gets and not only did W not veto it, the old fossils of the USSC OK'd it!
To: Anthem
I really hope Bush will refuse to sign this. The Federal Government is growing more bloated like a rotten corpse laying in the sun...its also rotten on the inside too
