The very way those "surveys" are mentioned, in the sources you cite, shows that they are utterly unreliable, therefore worthless. No controls. The guy who sends out the questionnaires...processes them, and then announces the results. Hmmm? Agenda, anyone?
If you're right then it very well could be MORE than 50%.. not less.. If the sampling is wrong..
