Some towns are already talking about raising taxes to cover heating the schools.

We've broken out a raft of quilts and lap blankets to air out. We have plenty of sweaters ready and we'll be keeping the thermostat in the 58/60 degree range all winter.

You don't suppose that all the federal, state, county and local offices, schools, firehouses and police stations will set their thermoststs a little lower, do you?

Way to simple for our elected and unelected betters, eh?

Well, that's one way to keep visitors away ;-)

I've got a few pairs of "sweats" that I figure that I'll be wearing once I get home from work, and sleeping under layers of blankets. I've got one of those thermostats with a clock, so I figure I'll crank the heat up to about 72 from 05:00 to 07:00 for showering and getting dressed, but the rest of the time, I'll be leaving the thermostat at about 58...

I was thinking about an electric blanket too, but I used one in college, and found that it dehydrated me.
