Why do you assume they would have needed 20 million species? That isn't logical. If they had some of each kind I imagine they could have reproduced. Where did you come up with 20 million? Does the Bible say that?Because there are 20,000,000 different species in the world today. Are you saying they only took a few species and they evolved afterwards into what we have today? Maybe a housecat, which later evolved into lynx, cougars, leopards, etc.

That was the original post that I responded to when I said that mlc could not be a YEC. Either the Noah story is a child's fable, or speciation on a scale undreamed of by mainstream biology has occurred in the last 4000 years.

I find it puzzling that creationists argue on one hand that evolution couldn't possibly occur, while at the same time arguing that it occurred at an impossibly fast pace since the Flood to account for today's biodiversity. Explanation, anyone?
