I have always wondered what the Dem/MSM talking point of this leak being a "retribution", a "payback", for Wilson writing a critical article.

How would this leak be "payback" in the first place? What would this accomplish?

I just don't get it.

I thought Cheney's people or whomever was explaining to a reporter that the reports of Bush sending Wilson we not true, and that the CIA was supposed to send someone, and since his wife worked there, that she probably recommended him for the trip.

Why is that illegal?

That's been my question from the start. If I were looking for a way to get even, it wouldn't be "your grandma wears tennis shoes" - I'm sure there are plenty of things in Wilson's past (two previous marriages) that could be used much more effectively.
