Let's hope that Jim Burling was wrong about Roberts perspective on property rights, as he wrote in that article.

Many in Florida have done well, very well, off of abusing the property rights of the citizenry. When a Liberal like Nelson votes for a man who shares Jeb's view that we have enough property rights protections already, I get acutely nervous.

But, the brothers Bush seem to have a much better understanding of politics than I or the Democrats have.

Wouldn't it be nice if Roberts was more of an originalist than his action in Nevada indicated?

I don't understand why conservatives are "celebrating" at all. Roberts is an unknown. We've never had success with such a candidate to SCOTUS. As they move and "grow" on the court, they always move LEFT. Always. Except Souter who started off in kookland.

Since Thomas' hi-tech lynching, when the Dems SUPPORT a candidate to SCOTUS like this it can only mean two things: they're keeping their powder dry for the next candidate *OR* they sense a fellow traveler in the nominee. Or BOTH.
