Their nay votes were real DUmb. Should have supported Roberts, and saved their venom for the next one. Now they'll look UGLY, RUDE and 100% PARTISAN.
Several of the no birds are running for president, and need to raise bucks from and appease their base. They are not dumb.
Did you see the editor of realclearpolitics.com on BO'R? He basically said the same thing. BO'R called them "fundraising votes", a vote targeted at the fringe left (mainstream Democrat base).
It'll be interesting to see who the next nominee is, and if that next nominee is as Conservative as Chief Justice Roberts, I won't be surprised if Democrats like Leahy vote nay.
I hope the next nominee is a female minority.
