JUDGE J. MICHAEL LUTTIG
JUDGE J. MICHAEL LUTTIG U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit, appointed by
G.H.W. Bush, 51 years old A two-time short-lister, some say Luttig would be
John Roberts II. A "stauch federalist in
the mold of Justices Scalia and Thomas,"
it's been said.

I think Bush should put up Janice Rogers Brown first. If that doesn't go through, then he should come back with Luttig.

That way the woman issue is addressed. And if Luttig can perform as well as Roberts in the hearings, I think a filibuster would be difficult.

Are you the only one who found Luttig? It would be interesting to find out what criteria went to each of our profiles.

I certainly would not be surprised if President Bush names someone who is not on these shortlists.
