I agree. I want the Republicans to fight back more than taking all this cr-p on the chin all the time. Thats why I was happy today that Tom Delay came out swinging!....
Bartlett is a nice guy, but not the right guy for the job of communicating the President's agenda. Too soft, too nice, not agressive enough. For example, the President's Social Security initiative is now on life support. The President can't carry the message alone, he needs his press office to get out there and push his policies. This is just not happening. The President is not being well-served by his staff. Again, I hope they take to heart the very important lesson Mr. Delay taught today.
They should've countered the oppostition to the Iraq war this way. Look what it lead to--the F9-11. You have to cool the flames early, because what you say right out of the gate, like Tom did, is what most people see on the MSM news anyway.
