perhaps you oughta do some research on David Souter, loyalties, and the job description.

Yes, let's do some research. History shows the only SC justices who've remained fiercely conservative on the bench are those that have served in the White House. That's a fact.

Now, has JRB ever served an administration? No. Has Miers? Yes. Has Souter? no Has Scalia? you bet.

Maybe you are not conservative...

now you're just playing dirty. I'll respond: maybe you're a retard, fine, but perhaps you oughta do some research and see how much the President trusts and respect Mrs Miers before you write her off for making a measley donation back in 1988.

You made me laugh with your response. I did not vote for Bush to have him put up a stealth candidate and not fight the fight. I think Roberts was a bad choice, and this choice would be a further disaster - and believe me, it will destroy his presidency. We know nothing about their politics - and this choice seems to be a political opportunist - paying dues to only Texas Republicans who are in power and the Bush family who are the major Texas power brokers - besides her democrat contributions. Pretty clear to me that she is an opportunist.

Sorry I don't operate on "faith" and "hope" that a candidate will be a conservative bench sitter because Bush nominates them. That is just folly. He told me he was a fiscal conservative. I learned my lesson.

Oh, and your argument about working in administration is about as weak as it gets. sorry. If Bush nominates Colin Powell would you feel the same? If Bush nominates George Tennant would you feel the same? Of course I am speaking hypothetically, but reality says they served in his administration too. Your straw-man argument holds no water.
