This is serious. No matter if he thinks it's frivolous, it's still accusations against him and he's been replaced already as majority leader. No matter what he thinks personally, it's bad face to be laughing about it on tv.

Yeah right. As Rush says "It's the seriousness of the charge". It's a trumped up political hit piece by democrats is what it is. Giving the charges any serious consideration is wasting time.

The fact that he's smiling lets everybody else know it, too.

I missed the laughing part. I do see him smiling. Quite frankly he looks pretty straight-forward to me.

I disagree, the charges are phony, laughing it off may be the best way to expose those bozos for what they are, political hacks.

All your wishing in the world won't make it true. If he came on all serious...or sobbing and sucking his thumb....then you say, aha!! He looks guilty!
DeLay knows Texas politics. Now, the rest of the country can see it, too. Earle is a democratic tool. Always has been, always will be. If anyone goes down in flames, it will be vindictive Earle. Sorry.

Maybe it's like a baseball manager being thrownout of the game. They usually can be found hiding behind a chair in the dugout still calling the game.

The charges are not only frivolous, but trumped up.
he's been replaced already as majority leader...
Temporarily.
No matter what he thinks personally, it's bad face to be laughing about it on tv.
I've been laughing about this all day. Ronnie Earle just didn't suddenly appear out of nowhere. He's a partisan Democrat hack, who's had an axe to grind with Texas Republicans for over a decade or better.

Bull. Delay is the object of a smear and is responding appropriately. I suspect the first Jusge to see this piss-poor indictment will toss it. He may even sanction the true perp, Earle.

I don't know if this is true, but some Republican Representative today on Fox News was saying that he (Delay) is only stepping down (temporarily at least, until this is thrown out of court like most Ronnie Earl partisan horse shit accusations are) because it is the rule which the Republicans hold themselves to. He said the Democrats have no such rule in place for themselves.
Will there be damage? No. The public is to well aware of what is going on . It is not like in the old days when all people knew for news was the MSM.
It will be completely ineffective, and Tom Delay will be just as effective, if not more so, then he ever has been. Must suck to be a dem, depending on the old dinosaur media to carry their water by spreading their lies. Sorry. Talk radio and the new media shoots that old whorebucket full of holes nowadays. Bring it on! We're locked and loaded!
