My guess is to divert attention from the corruption slop in Louisiana. Dems could, and should, lose control over LA. If there are "phantom cops" who have been voting in LA, the whole house could come tumbling down...top to bottom.

Have forgotten - was LA red or blue? Alot of their hurricane "refugees" may not go back. That's a bunch of lost Dem votes right there.
