Think a wife in England did something like this a while back - sold her husband's car (his pride and joy) on ebay when she caught him cheating. The car was in her name and she sold it as quite a bargain as it had to be a quick sale.

Reminds me of a similar story I heard from a supermarket clerk. The husband had a silver dollar collection. The wife took it to the supermarket and bought groceries with it.
(Might be an urban legend, but a clerk did tell me the story as if he had made the sale himself.)
