Yes, I saw your Great-Aunt's poem. Very nice. Poignant.

Louis L'Amour immortalized the poetic spirit of the pioneer woman, in one of his later books. A paean to the stirrings of the heart in the lonely prairie.

Time was, every educated person aspired to be able to express thoughts and feelings in a memorable manner. It seems these days, we have all the modern tools we need to create messages devoid of content.

At least here on Free Republic there exists an island of heartfelt expressiveness! Rock on!

You had probably seen my aunt's poems at Amy's.

I have several of her poems typed but there are still many that I need to get typed so I can share them.
