Hi Dolly,
I imagine what you must feel. It's heartbreaking, but it may be for the best. After what those horrible owners did to that poor dog, he may not have been safe to be around. You did the best you could. I sure wish it turned out differently.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Dolly. He was a beautiful dog.

Perhaps he's in a better place now.

Who's this—alone with stone and sky?
It's only my old dog and I—
It's only him; it's only me;
Alone with stone and grass and tree.

What share we most—we two together?
Smells, and awareness of the weather.
What is it makes us more than dust?
My trust in him; in me his trust.

Here's anyhow one decent thing
That life to man and dog can bring;
One decent thing, remultiplied
Till earth's last dog and man have died.

Man and Dog

Oh no! You tried, Dolly. That's more than what the owners did. Some people don't deserve to have pets. And sometimes, we are a little too late, and there isn't much that we can do about it. You gave him a little love before his time came, and I'm sure he appreciated it.

((((Dolly))))

That is a true shame Dolly but my friend you did the right thing. You tried and that is all that you could do. They are beautiful dogs, a friend has one and she is a doll.

10 years in an unhealthy atmosphere is tough and it would be hard to break old habits and inner feelings.

I hope and Pray that your ear is OK, see a doctor, K?

Oh bless your heart. What a sad, sad story and what a dreaddful life that poor dog must have had. But look at that pix you took! He was so happy. You gave him happiness on last day on this earth. I feel awful for you tho. I am so sorry.

Thanks for the ping HOTD, and... I love the cat and dog haiku!

Hi Darks.

Hope you've had a great day.

I had to leave for awhile. Took Missy to her dance lesson and then took her and her brother to the fair.

The fair just about finished me off for good. They wanted to ride different rides and kept disappearing. Man of man .... how do people handle 4?

*shrugs*

Just the two of us rotten boys in my family were bad enough.
THEN our sister was born, and the unioverse has been harmed to its very foundations by that.

We've adjusted since, but..
*chuckle*

I only know that I honestly wouldn't be able to handle 2 children let alone 4.
Even if they are grown up.*

*Mom is always saying this right around the time I get baaaad ideas involving things that go 'kaboom' and certain rodent pests of the garden. Moms ALWAYS know..

Came up with a horrible literary device.. er.. theoretical sci-fi weapon inelegantly termed a 'telepop'.
In short, you teleport in an object of any size, and due to the teleport being unstable, the object materializes, sits for a second, and then explodes with 'extreme prejudice.'

Sometimes I hate the ideas that pop into my head..

Are you still here, Victoria?

Good evening. Thank you. Cute song for "Strawberry Cream PieDay".

I had planned to get back earlier but you always see people from your past at small country fairs.

Even Michael and Marissa were excited about seeing schoolmates tonight. ;)

Well ... you do come up with interesting ideas.

Always enjoy hearing about them.

The 2 kids are not baad, they just wanted to do their own thing. I wanted them to stay where I could see them.

We had a good time.

By the time we were ready to leave, people other than kids started arriving and we had to stop to visit a couple of minutes.

Both kids were getting tired and cranky. It was getting close to their bedtime.

LOL!

I thought it was a truly bad idea dealing with high energy physics that I don't understand.
Like, even small objects converting their mass into energy explosively would destroy lots of stuff.
Large stuff.

Well, there are the three of us now.
And my sister will say something innocuous, and then watch the eldest of us and myself do stuff.
We did discover that her one "ex-boyfriend" did NOT have dissassembly instructions printed on him.
Yes, we were crushed by that.
He was somewhat saddened by that too.
[note the quotation marks..]

Yes, two kids staying where you can see them -in my family at least- minimizes collateral damage and possible insurance settlements.

Ohhhh .... what a beautiful dog.

What a horrible experience for you and Wahoo. I do not know why people take animals if they are not going to give them the love they deserve.

Poor Wahoo. I'm sure he is romping and playing with others at the Rainbow Bridge.

Have your ear checked tomorrow; you don't want to ignore it and let it get infected.

((((( Dolly )))))

I imagine so. You must feel tired too.

By the way, you did a good job with the thread – looks really nice.

LOL

From your tales, I would suspect that the insurance settlements could get quite expensive. :)
