I have some concerns about Roberts and protection of private property rights. How would he have ruled in Kelo? I understand he has argued in favor of eminent domain seizures for private party gain. Other than that, and especially because he greatly bothers liberals, I guess he's ok.

Other than that, and especially because he greatly bothers liberals, I guess he's ok. He told Senator Brownback he didn't like the decision and also said that the legislatures (local and Federal) could and should act soon to legislate the wishes of their citizens.
Of course he did not come right out and say he didn't like it, but I watched the exchange 4 times and it is clear to me he would have voted against it.
