Hearings beginning now on C-Span- Michael Brown will be grilled.
Have at it, folks:)
that's what i want to know too. nagin, blanco, landrieu and family.
they ought to be sitting right there!
It appears Rogers is trying to help Brown by asking the right questions
"MEDIA MADE MESS OF STORM NEWS"
C-SPAN is fine in N. Virginia. Maybe democrats "working" in your local cable company.
indeed.
and its going to cost all us of 250 billion now, because politically the "solution" to this is to dump money onto Louisiana.
oh No, haven't seen that, thanks, will go there
Head of Nat'l Hurricane Center personally called gov and mayor to give them warnings (first time in 35 (?) years he had done that). Nevertheless, evacuation was not ordered until Sunday afternoon.
I wish other officials would speak as frankly as Brown. I realize that since he's no longer employed by the feds, he has less to lose.
But it's so refreshing to hear him talk. Brown is doing a FANTASTIC job. Simply superb.
Hi neighbor :-)
Rogers is making some excellent points about the ineptitude of Nagin & Blanco by going over this timeline with Brownie.
GOP Harold Rogers of Kentucky is really being forceful. He must be a former prosecutor.
he rec'd conflicting information about the levees

17th Street and Industrial Canal levees were reported broken before noon Monday.
Brown needs to be better prepared. He should have anticipated these questions, especially the timeline questions. Rodgers is trying to lead him through it. Nagin ordered a voluntary evacuation on Saturday and mandatory on Sunday at 11 AM, despite the dire predicitions of the weather service on Friday.
Yes, Brown is nailing them but msm and hollywood, Oprah will spinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn and say he is blaming Nagin and Gov Blankout.
Brown just did, to explain that the Fed's have no authority to order evacuation in the face of a natural disaster.
Hello. E. Prince William County here.
I read earlier in the WSJ that one radio station was early to report a levee break, but it was washed out itself pretty much right after. No one else reported any for a while.
