Time zones? We don't need no stinkin' time zones! We use a Rove Time Displacement Vehicle (RTDV) to transport ourselves up to 24 hours into the future. How else can Free Republic come up with such voluminous analysis in such short time unless we get the jump on events before they even happen?

many of us here at Free Republic know a lot more about the printing business than is seemly... The printing business, the military, any subject--it doesn't matter. The collective knowledge/expertise of 100,000+ individuals will dwarf any news bureau or collection of political hacks. Not every poster knows, but someone will have the resources or know where it can be found in order to get to the truth.
Conversely, any misstatements, half-truths or misinformation will be challenged. It's the ultimate in freedom of the press.

Howlin posts a link to the docs ALREADY ON-LINE at 11:17PM.
Buckhead responds at 11:59PM:
To: Howlin
Howlin, every single one of these memos to file is in a proportionally spaced font, probably Palatino or Times New Roman.
In 1972 people used typewriters for this sort of thing, and typewriters used monospaced fonts.
The use of proportionally spaced fonts did not come into common use for office memos until the introduction of laser printers, word processing software, and personal computers. They were not widespread until the mid to late 90's. Before then, you needed typesetting equipment, and that wasn't used for personal memos to file. Even the Wang systems that were dominant in the mid 80's used monospaced fonts.
I am saying these documents are forgeries, run through a copier for 15 generations to make them look old.
This should be pursued aggressively.

Mapes's assertion that the first acusations of forgery occurred before the docs were available for viewing is a lie.

Within a few minutes, I was online visiting Web sites I had never heard of before: Free Republic, Little Green Footballs, Power Line.
Um, maybe the fact that she'd never even HEARD about FR, LGF, etc. was a big part of her problem.
p.s. I thought I had the original Buckhead link in my profile, but I don't see it there -- hope someone has a link.

Ms. Mapes -
From time to time, we get DU trolls on FreeRepublic & I am sure that one of them will pass along the following message to you:
1. You lied.
2. You got fired.
3. W. got reelected and is STILL the President of the U.S.A.
4. In closing, ha ha, ha ha ha, ha ha. You can suck it.
I am sure that Air America is hiring or maybe you can get a job from you comrades over at NPR.

Not to worry. Gunga Dan and Mary 'quite contrary' Mapes have redoubled their efforts to find Lucy Ramirez, and they're confident of success. Really! O. J. Simpson has offered to help...

That was all they had to attack, but that was enough.
Yes it was. Thank the Lord. They still don't get it.

Actually the AB story was broken by the Army. They did a news release on their internal investigation. About a month later somebody in the lamestream media "broke" the story.
Almost everybody forgets the Army came clean BEFORE the media reported it.

There was no analysis of what the documents actually said, no work done to look at the content, no comparison with the official record, no phone calls made to check the facts of the story, nothing beyond a cursory and politically motivated examination of the typeface. Hey, I got a forged document, but let me see how I feel about it. Mapes is a stupid Clymer.
