Delaying spending programs will not save any money currently being wasted.

Why not start with Foreign Aid; Pork Barrel spending; the lavish lifestyle of elected and appointed officials; the money wasted on the United Nations; reducing the size of government; putting elected officials and civil service workers on Social Security; stop giving huge sums to Left wing causes; and I could go on almost endlessly.

Nah. Just delay the so-called prescription drug bill for 5 years.

Savings: $150 Billion!!

As a compromise, leave only a sliding scale, need based program for medicare recipients under 250% of federal poverty guidelines. (yeah, that's a lot but the opposition is left with very little to complain about, and IIRC the poverty level for a single senior is under $10 thousand)

Savings still more than all the other programs combined.
