"He was surprised by the number of homicides people with gunshot wounds to their heads and backs"

I didn't see any stats or numbers on the dead he had seen.

Is this the same doc who arrived expecting to find several hundred dead in the Superdome morgue, only to find there were only 6 from inside the dome? Four died of natural causes, one was an overdose and the other a suicide victim. Four other bodies were found outside the dome, but in the immediate area. There must be a real dearth of good reporters these days. Seems like every story I read leaves out some important piece of information, like how many it took to surprise this doctor. I know a lot of the lack of information can be attributed to editing a story to make it fit the space available, but gosh it seems like they would at least try to cover the bases talked about in the first few paragraphs of the story.

"I didn't see any stats or numbers on the dead he had seen."My thoughts exactly;
don't care what he did or did not do after the hurricane,
this piece is pure commentaty without even a "three out of ten" or "most of" or even "lots" to give it any foundation.
