Steve Carrell has been signed on to play Max Smart.

At least it isn't Will Ferrell, Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, or Chris Rock.

Carrell certainly has the right look. I don't know what his voice sounds like. I understand he has good comedic skills. I've never seen him in anything.
