Maybe Cartoon Network should run a Lupin III marathon in his honor.
What, am I the only who noticed the resemblance?

It's not mentioned in the AP Obit. He would have been in his late teens and early 20s .Did they have DIs that young?

There's a cheap DVD out of the Get Smart Again movie. Five bucks, and more than worth it. I found it in a store and love it.

"Don Adams as a DI."

I suspect that he became a DI, after surviving Guadalcanal.

The chemistry between Adams and Barbara Feldon was perfect. He was a total klutz and she was the sultriest, sweetest babe imagineable. That goes for the whole cast, actually. From the long-suffering Chief, to the dim-wit Larrabee to Agent 13 (the guy who was always hiding in a mail-box or inside a cupboard) to the over-acted, villainous Siegfried.

Get Smart was the best.

I wish they'd bring this thing out on DVD. I could watch it until the cows come home.

Not to mention the terrific theme music, and opening sequence with all the high security doors. I even loved that part, every time.

There are some Get Smart items at the Spy Museum in DC.

Don Knotts was not a DI - or even a Marine.
