Thanks for the ping, it looked like a n excellent rally! BTW - From CSPAN I guessed 1000, but the AP only reported several hundred..what's the estimate from people there?

The platform for media was set back from the stage about 100 yards. Surrounding this platform were crowd control fences. In front of the stage was another fenced in area, for honored guests and speakers. Along both sides of the edge of the grass were tents set up by various groups of supporters of the Rally. This made a lot of 'empty' space as the camera would show it.

Almost every person there was holding a poster or a flag or wearing patriotic colored clothes. We were spread out but I estimate that about a thousand people were there. It was not possible to see everyone from the cameras of CSPAN, as they were really in the middle of the venue.

I was very pleased with the size of the crowd, having attended other Support the Troops Rallys. this was the largest crowd that I have seen in person.
