Well somebody will surely tape it and can send you a disc. Keep your eyes open and maybe someone will volunteer. I'm going to ask my son to tape it tonight and make me a disc. If he gets it recorded without any problem, I'll have him make you a disc also. I may get him to make several so I can send them to some of the troops in Iraq.

The fly in the ointment is the unpredictibility of CSpan. If they run it on time, no problem. We will see how it goes.

The letter was not read. Just got this on another thread:

"To: Linda1956
I've emailed the link to this thread to Melanie at her home and work email addresses.
She was mortified today when she couldn't find the email. She even referenced another email she had but couldn't find the one Capt. Bourland had sent you.

So she had Pastor Luana Stines acknowledge Capt. Bourland at the very end - which you heard... wasn't completely on the mark, but the mention was made as Capt. Bourland's email was on the minds of all of us at Move America Forward - both on the ground in DC at the rally and back here in Sacramento and San Francisco.

So, let's see if Mel doesn't read at least part of it tomorrow morning on KSFO. If she is feeling well and makes it in I imagine she will, because she was very moved by the letter.

Alan Colmes, his book was so bad!! and with all the free advertising he gave it, it was a total BOMB! Even the left will not listen to him.
The C-SPAN coverage was really good and as noted there were Republican Senators and Representatives there paying their respect and support, unlike the Democrats who ran outa town
the night before.
GOB BLESS OUR COUNTRY and Our Armed Services that protect Our Country, Our Freedoms and US!

I didn't get to see the rally live, but I've been catching up through my taped version and am just overwhelmed by the passion and sincerity of the speakers. tgslTakoma, thanks for starting this thread. Many thanks to Kristinn for the great job you did in helping to organize the rally.

Trueblackman, you ROCKED!!!! Your speech was one of the highlights of the rally.

Kristinn, is there any way possible we could get an English translation of the Iraqi gentleman's Arabic remarks? I could only understand bits and pieces with my rudimentary Arabic, but I did get the impression (could be wrong) that he was giving a run-down of neighboring Arab countries' lack of response to the Iraqi plight over the years. He mentioned Iran several times, and I'm curious to find out what he said.

By marriage. The daughter of King Robert The Bruce married the 6th High Steward and founded the Royal House of Stewart. I just happen to have a bookmark here that says that.

Oh wow, I really am decended from Robert the Bruce. My Great Grandfather was named Robert William Stewart, and he was straight from the old sod.

Yes, you spoke from your heart and soul, but more important, you spoke for all our brave troops here and abroad. For the troops serving here and overseas, including my son, PFC Matt Hazel (he has been to Iraq and is scheduled to return), I thank you and GOD BLESS YOU!

1st I would like to share a blog entry I just read, it is here:

http://fuzzilicious.blogspot.com/2005/09/anti-war-and-war.html

Then I want to say THANK you for everyone who worked so hard for the cause.

Lastly, I want to say, somehow, we all MUST DO BETTER, or we will loose this thing. For my son's sake and all the troops out there, please do something more. Please get better organized, maybe get the GOP or some group to help. But do something before it is too late.

Please.

Just got your post..

I was thrilled last week when Cindy Sheehadi called out Hillary for backing the war in Iraq..

She told Hillary to "put her money where her mouth is"...(I don't know what Hillary might have said to her-either, "critisize me again, and you'll regret it"...or"don't worry I am pretending to back the war until I get the POWER to do something about it")

I wish some of the people on our side would have some of the politicians speak out like Jeff Sessions and Trent Franks and the rep from Iowa did today....

I am hoping that Cindy keeps calling out the dems like Kerry, Bayh, that voted for the war....SHE can ruin their presidential hopes.

100,000 is 1 and 1/2 to 2 stadiums full of people. No way was the crowd at the ellipse yesterday that many people.

Lefties like to pick a number and repeat it until it achieves the status of fact.

Park police do not do estimates these days but the metro has precise data which can be compared to other days, other events. If this had been a huge event yesterday, there would be info about traffic problems, metro jams, etc.

I have been to DC for the Right-to-Life March in freezing January, not a balmy cusp-of-fall day, and the crowds were triple the size.

Descended of Robert the Bruce, you stand up for your beliefe - unless your job depends on it. Otherwise, there's little that is more satisfying than a good fight.

How do you know the re-air time? I just checked the C-Span schedule and it's still not listed.

Because during the wrap up shots at the end of the rally the CSPAN announcer gave the repeat time. I never even go to CSPAN's schedule as it's a waste of time to me. The only way I can reliably find out what's on later is to catch the on air schedule after the end of one of their shows or live coverage.
