Oddly enough, she refused to answer to *any* of the names I'd pick out for her.
Gypsy?
No go.
Dixie?
No way.
Spooky?
Not a chance.
I went through an entire "1001 Names For Your Baby" book, and one huge tome on Irish mythology.
Finally, I got to the "P" section and going down the list eventually hit upon "Pooka" [Pwca, in Welsh] and her ears shot up and she leapt onto me.
So Pooka, aka Pookie, it is.
[somewhere, "Harvey" the giant invisible rabbit is laughing his arse off].....;))
Her little sister Phoebe pulled the same stunt.
No names stuck except Phoebe and the poor little thing went almost 3 months with no name at all.

Their half-brother and half-sister had no such bizarre egocentricities.
I picked Jack and Isobel before they even came here and they settled right in with that.
