that's odd, because almost all the China based FR posters (there are quite a few) have no trouble accessing and posting. I spen most of last two years in Shanghai, accessing FR from a local Chinese server was never a problem.
It's actually kinda strange what I can and can not access when I was in Shanghai, it's a mixec bag. Generally, sites that are based outside of China and cater to non-Maninland Chinese audience are accessible, the overseas Chinese oriented anc Chinese content sites are often blocked (but not necessarily Taiwan and Hong Kong based sites, so, it's not always clear cut what gets blocked and what gets through).
One can always use a proxy to get around the firewall, it's really not that hard.
