"Federal officials said it will take two to three weeks to pump out the latest floodwaters, which began pouring in Friday through levees that were patched after the previous hurricane."
Just in time for the next hurricane, right? The season's not over till Nov. 30.

Nagin's so worried about whether their will
be anybody to vote him and the other DemonRATS
back into office. Oh well, I guess there's always
the dead left to bus to the polls. (As soon as
they manage to dry out all of those buses.)

Last week, Nagin delayed plans to allow some residents to return after it became clear that Rita posed a serious danger and federal officials warned of the problems that could face residents coming back to the city. He said Saturday that the latest storm had postponed recovery efforts by another three to five days. Better said in short, Nagin let the real men do the work who have been screened and found to have at least a double digit I.Q.

There have been reports the shore line along the Louisiana coast is sinking. If this is correct then it will be increasingly difficult to keep water out of the city. The question then becomes is it worth investing more tax payer dollars in a city that maybe eventually be underwater despite anymore hurricanes?

Beaudreaux: Hey, gimme another beer. I think I got me a real good idea!
Jimmah Joe: What's that?
Beaudreaux: Let's drain the pool and put the living room furniture and TV in there!
Jimmah Joe: You are the dumbidiest coona$$! You can't do that. But I bet we can build a new house in that empty pool! That government guy came by and said he'd give us $200,000 for a new house! Let's build one in that empty pool for $500 and keep the rest for beer. (BURP!)
Beaudreaux: Hell yea mon!
