In the current scenario, in the continuing adventure of this "soap-opera" we call the Undead Thread, our location is Eniwetok Atoll.
We've been here for several months, continuing to "gas up" in the engine modernization program begun back in Hawaii.
With over a thousand Gas-Cooled Nuclear Reactors to build and fuel up, we needed to extract a lot of Uranium from the sea-water around us. Fortunately, the Eniwetokians have been very cooperative with us. Somehow, they seem to have gotten the impression we're part of a huge environmental cleanup workgroup.
We'll test the efficiency of our Nuclear Rocket design in a few days, sending an expedition to the moon and returning. NASA has asked us to drop off a multiple ton "package" for them. They seem to think there could be water-ice in one of the craters there.
We'll also be dropping off our own robotic laboratory equipment as well. We will have to operate our spider-robots at slow speed from here for the most part, but we have a few experiments and processes to set up ourselves.
After the Lunar expedition is completed, we'll get everything ready to blast off from the ocean's surface on December twenty-seventh on our long-awaited journey to Mars.
As much fun as the Undead Thread has been so far, it should become even more interesting in the coming weeks!
